Definitely what I liked the most about Fairy Tail was its characters, and what sets Eden’s Zero apart from FT is the world, so its got plenty of different planets that can have different settings and ideas, and it could be like reading FT AU fanfics.
I like Rebecca, the idea of her being a you-tuber could lead to some interesting ideas about her maybe wanting to be famous then having to deal with toxic fans or something and her way of talking isn’t really getting on my nerves so far. Shiki’s definitely got Natsu’s brain and heart, and giving him the goal of 100 friends could give way to development. hell, if I were to guess then I’d say that not everyone’s gonna be so nice to him as Rebecca is. how is he going to deal with cruel people who haven’t one shred of good in their hearts? would he want to be friends with them?
Although given how this is just FT in space I should really just stop wanting deeper story telling about good and evil in people and how much you should forgive someone and just drink the ‘friendship is magic’ kool-aid and enjoy the characters …
Bottom line, if you enjoyed FT at all you’ll probably wanna keep an eye out for this, I think it could be enjoyable and fun to watch if it gets made into an anime. could have sort of a one piece vibe of going from planet to planet. I know I’ll have my eye on it.
P.S. for those who keep complaining about the creator using the same characters from FT, try reading multiple Stephen King novels in a row. a lot of writers use the same characters.
